New law in California for every newborn gets $500 – that’s the subject for today’s Talking Points memo.
A new law being proposed in California for every child born in this state will get $500 hand-out, simply for being born.
Which in California is not all that easy to do given abortons, which may be the reason why the cash prize is so high.
Now, if the child actually makes it past the abortion knife and reaches the born status after January 1, 2008, they will be entitled to the money regardless of their parents income or immagration status.
The prize, the $500, can be used for three purposes:
- down payment on a home
- or fun a retirement account
“Yes this is the essence of equal oppertunty,” said state Senator Darrell Steinberg. The Democrat who sponsors this bill. “Every child, every person ought to get a head start with $500.”
Steinberg calculates that kids will have over $17,000 saved by the time they turned 18 if their families added $50 monthly to the birthing prize.
The initial $500 hand-out would supposedly be paid back once the kid turned 18. Mean while tax payers will be stuckfor almost $300 million dollar a year. Sadly Senator Steinberg found a Republican co-sponsor, Bob Dutton for this absurdity.
Now, remember, this is in California, a state that does not have enough moeny to run its prisons. California liberals are already working on legislation to grant illegal Mexicans health care and now they want us to stock cash bonuses for births!
Now when this news hits south of the border the Great California Birth Rush will re-double.
I have an idea. Let’s just adopt Mexico as an official ward of the sate and just get it over with.
And that’s the memo.
